Trains move backwards although forward (postive) reference values are set

Answer(s):
An uncoupled engine and the rollimg stock may have different directions, for example if they are put on rails with different directions and if they are “pushed” manually together. The direction of the whole train is defined by the last coupled rolling stock, even if it is not the engine.
